Nestled in Oxford Parks, Ocaso is more than just a restaurant — it’s a ritual. From mid-day calm to midnight conversations, Ocaso invites guests to slow down, reconnect, and savor each moment. Inspired by the golden hour, the space fuses vibrant Mexican influences with laid-back elegance, offering fresh flavours, bespoke cocktails, ambient lighting, and an intentional sense of community. Whether dining solo, enjoying a sundowner, or attending a crafted event, Ocaso is where stories begin and connections deepen.
To bring this atmosphere online, Ocaso partnered with us to create a digital experience that mirrors its warmth and intentionality. The challenge was to craft a website that feels like stepping into golden hour — rich in storytelling and aesthetic appeal, yet effortlessly functional. We focused on preserving the venue’s relaxed energy while ensuring the site remained fast, responsive, and geared for conversions. Seamless integration with DinePlan was essential to support real-time reservations without breaking the immersive flow.

Approach & Solutions
UI / UX Design & Experience
We started by mapping user journeys: discover, explore, reserve. The UI was designed with warm tones, soft transitions, and visual cues that evoke golden-hour light. We emphasized continuity between sections, with intuitive navigation and ambient touches (hover states, micro-animations) to enhance immersion.
Web Design & Development
The design leans on high-quality imagery, textured overlays, elegant typography, and tonal layering to echo the restaurant space. We built a responsive, optimized WordPress site that maintains design richness on all screens without compromising performance. The code is modular and streamlined to support future expansions (events, menus, blog).
Customer Experience Strategy
We differentiated paths for diners, event-goers, and casual browsers. CTAs are placed elegantly to guide visitors toward menu views, reservations, or event pages. Content hierarchy ensures the story is told — ambience, flavors, events — before the decision point.
DinePlan Integration
We integrated DinePlan to manage reservations directly on the site. Guests can pick date, time, number of guests, and receive confirmation, all within the immersive site experience. The integration ensures booking data syncs with Ocaso’s backend system for ease of operations.
